Conclusion: Types of Financial Aid

Emory University offers great scholarship programs to its incoming students; however, there are additional options for financial aid since many students still want to go to Emory University even though the scholarship funding has run out. Like most universities, Emory’s Office of Financial Aid awards grants, loans, and work-study opportunities to students who demonstrated financial need. Same as scholarships, grants are money that does not need to repaid; however, on the other hand, loans are money that needs to be repaid and sometimes with interest.

Because of this reason, loans should be your last option and only be used when all other options are exhausted. Even when Emory scholarships, grants, and work-study are not enough, students should consider applying for external scholarships instead of applying for a college loan.
