Known as CSU for short, the Cleveland State University is a public institution that was established for research. Located in Cleaveland, Ohio, the CSU is known for their collaborative law school called Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.

Types of CSU Scholarships

1. Scholarships for Incoming Freshmen

B. CSU Central Neighborhood Scholarship
Covering the full in-state tuition, this scholarship is awarded to two incoming students who meet the following requirements:
- Be an incoming freshmen
- Be a member of Central Neighborhood (Cleveland neighborhood)
- Be graduating from Central Neighborhood core high school
- Maintained a cumulative high school GPA of at least 3.2
- Be fully admitted to CSU and enter CSU on the summer or fall immediately following your high school graduation
- Submit an essay
Since this is a competitive scholarship, it requires a separate application (essay) in addition to your admissions application.

C. Ruth Ann Moyer Scholarship Award
Covering the full in-state tuition, the applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be an Ohio Resident
- Be a *non-traditional applicant
- Be admitted to CSU
- Completed the Essay for Ruth Ann Moyer
*Non-traditional students are different from traditional students (who graduate from high school and immediately go into college), and non-traditional students wait a few years after high school graduation and then apply for college.

D. Say Yes to Education Cleveland Scholarship
Awarding full-ride scholarships, this program awards students who meet the following requirements:
- Be living in Cleveland, Ohio
- Be attending a Cleveland Metropolitan School District (More details in the link down below)

E. Magnus Award (Non-Residents of Ohio)
For students whose residency in is another state than Ohio, the Magnus Award gives $8,500 per year to students who meet the following requirements:
- Scored at least 28 on ACT OR 1300 on SAT
- Maintained a cumulative high school GPA of at least 3.7
- Be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Be admitted to CSU and enter CSU on the summer or fall following your high school graduation

F. Viking Award (Non-Residents of Ohio)
Awarding $7,500 per year, the Viking Award is given to applicants to meet the following requirements:
- Scored at least 25 on ACT OR 1200 on SAT
- Maintained a cumulative high school GPA of at least 3.5
- Be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Be fully admitted to CSU and enter CSU on the summer or fall immediately following your high school graduation
Most awards to out-of-state students value higher than awards to in-state students since there is a price difference between the tuition fees for out-of-state and in-state students.

G. President’s Award
Awarding $6,000 per year, the President’s Awards are given to applicants who meet the following requirements:
- Scored at least 28 on ACT OR 1300 on SAT
- Maintained a cumulative high school GPA of at least 3.7

- Be an Ohio Resident
- Be admitted to CSU and enter CSU on the summer or fall following your high school graduation
This is a merit-based scholarship that does not require a separate application. Just apply for admissions, and you will be automatically considered for this scholarship.
