Being nominated by one of the people in the list is the only eligibility requirement for Presidential Scholarships. Awarding full-tuition, room & board, and mandatory fees, the Villanova Presidential Scholarship is a competitive scholarship, which means a separate application is required.
After admitting your admissions application, you need to fill out the application for Villanova Presidential Scholarship, and the people who nominated you will need to fill out their own form before the Villanova Scholarship Committee considers you for this scholarship.

B. St. Martin De Porres Grant
To be considered for this Villanova grant, there are major eligibility requirements that require specifics, so make sure that you fit these specific details outlined below.
- Be from a greater Philadelphia area*
- Be from the most underrepresented groups in undergraduate studies**
- Have exceptional academic achievements (High GPA/ High Standardized Testing Scores in ACT OR SAT)
*Greater Philadelphia area means Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties in Pennsylvania; Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, and Salem counties in New Jersey; and New Castle County in Delaware.
**Most underrepresented groups include (but not limited to) people from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups, students from poor economic backgrounds, and students whose family have few or no members that have attended college.
Covering full tuition and mandatory fees, the St. Martin De Porres Grant is a competitive scholarship, which requires a separate application with an essay.
For students who are considered for multiple competitive scholarships, they need to apply separately for each scholarship. For example, if a student is eligible for two competitive scholarships, he needs to make two separate applications with essays that cover different topics.

C. Randazzo Endowed Presidential Scholarship
Offered by Villanova University, this Presidential Scholarship covers full tuition and mandatory fees; however, the student must meet the following requirements to be considered for this full-ride scholarship:
- Reside in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- Have been involved in extracurricular activities (community service or civic leadership activities)
- Have high academic achievements (GPA / SAT OR ACT Scores)
- Be an African American/ Black student
Available to incoming freshmen, the Randazzo Endowed Presidential Scholarship is a Villanova competitive scholarship, so the applicant must apply for admissions and also apply separately for this scholarship.

D. Villanova Goizueta Foundation Scholars Fund
The Goizueta Foundation Scholars Fund is awarded to students who have a personal interest, personal involvement, and experience in the Hispanic/Latino culture. Only available to US Citizens or Permanent Residents, the Villanova Scholars Fund is awarded to students who have shown great academic achievements and have demonstrated financial need.

E. Hovnanian Scholarships
Awarded to students of Armenian descent, the Villanova Hovnanian Scholarship can be used to pay for tuition, room, and board. To be considered for this scholarship, the applicant must meet the following requirements:
- Be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Have outstanding high school academic records
- Have high ACT OR SAT scores
- Be of Armenian descent
- Submitted Villanova application for admission through Common Application
- Filed FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
- Completed College Board Profile
After meeting all these requirements, the applicant must submit a separate application for Villanova Hovnanian Scholarship since this is also a highly competitive scholarship.

2. Need-Based Grants Offered by Villanova University
Based on demonstrated financial need, these grants are offered by Villanova University, the federal government, and also by the state of Pennsylvania. Like scholarships, the need-based grants do not need to be repaid, but it is not based on merit but on financial need.
