3. Post Graduate Scholarship for University Rank Holders

Among our previous UGC Scholarship Schemes, we have looked at undergraduate scholarship and also a postgraduate scholarship for girl students. In this scholarship, we are going to talk about a postgraduate scholarship that is available to both genders. When undergraduate education was established in India, there was a lack of higher education to learn, so not a lot of students went to graduate school. On top of that, education fees for graduate school were not cheap for students in India, so many undergraduates who graduated from college just went straight into the workforce instead of considering going into graduate schools. To provide incentives for students to go into graduate school and to provide financial assistance to talented students, UGC established this postgraduate scholarship to accomplish that goal. Without further ado, let’s get straight into our eligibility requirements!

  • Be Enrolled in a First Post Graduate Degree Program
  • Be Less Than 30 Years Old During the Time of Application
  • Be a First or Second Rank Holder (Not Position Holders)
  • Have Graduated From Undergraduate Institutions From One of the Following Course Areas*

*Life sciences, physical sciences, chemical sciences, earth sciences, mathematical sciences, social sciences, commerce, and languages.

I’m kind of confused regarding the first or second rank holder since I’m not sure the exact implication of this requirement; however, you can check out the exact details in the link down below. Before you go, make sure to check the scholarship benefits since this scholarship offers Rs. 3,000 per month for two whole years.
