Standing for the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, MOSJ has established a scholarship scheme that is only available for a limited number of students in India. Compared to other departments and ministries, there is only one scholarship that is being awarded by MOSJ, and all the detailed information is covered in the section down below.
1. MOSJ Scholarship Scheme for SC/ST Students
Also known as the Top Class Education Scheme for SC/ST Students, this MOSJ scholarship scheme is for hard-working students in SC (Scheduled Caste) or ST (Scheduled Tribe) that gets accepted into a government short-listed institutions of excellence. In short, you will get a larger amount of scholarship if you get accepted to an institution with a higher academic standard than the average norm. The list of institutions hand-picked by the government is listed in the last section of the MOSJ guideline. This is basically an additional scholarship that is only for SC/ST students, and it was established to provide an incentive for you to study harder and smarter. In order to be eligible for this scholarship, you need to meet all the application requirements down below.
- Be an SC / ST Student
- Be Admitted to One of the Listed Institutions of Excellence
- Total Annual Family Income Should Be Less Than Rs. 6.00 Lakh
- Scholarship Limit of Two Siblings Per Family

*The Rs. 2.00 Lakh is for students in private sector institutions while students in private sector clubs for Commercial Pilot Training and Type Rating Courses will receive Rs. 3.72 Lakh per year. Also, the computer/laptop stipend is a one-time award since you are buying a personal device that typically lasts for your whole college career.
