Indiana Scholarships

Established in 1820, Indiana University Bloomington is a public research institution that is known for its innovation, creativity, and academic freedom, and Indiana University is also a flagship university of Indiana since it is the top university in the state.

One of the key characteristics of top-ranking universities is quality education, and Indiana University Bloomington (IU) offers several academic programs that are nationally ranked in the top ten. There is one IU academic department that outshines the rest, and it is the department of fine arts.

In the IU Jacobs School of Music, the Musical Art Center at Indiana University Bloomington is one of the greatest stages in the United States, and it rivals even the New York Metropolitan Opera. Music and education are not the only popular things at Indiana University since IU also offers great scholarships to incoming students.

Types of Scholarships Offered by Indiana University

In order to increase the student’s chances of success, Indiana University Bloomington offers scholarships with great values, and IU encourages prospective students to apply by the application deadline due to the limited scholarship funding.

1. Scholarships for Incoming Freshmen

Indiana University Blooming offers various scholarships to incoming students, but IU placed a higher consideration for a particular group of students. Most full-ride scholarships are offered to Indiana Residents, and somewhat high-value and most low-value scholarships are given to Non-Residents of Indiana.

After reading this, Non-Residents of Indiana and International Students might feel rejected; and yes, this is unfair. However, you also have other universities who offer full-ride scholarships to non-residents and international students, so you have a choice. Everybody has a choice, so if you want full-ride scholarships, look at the section below.

If not, you can just move on to another university or to the next post to see if there are any full-ride scholarships available to you!
