General Eligibility Requirements

  • Be a Deaf or Hard of Hearing Student
  • Be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident
  • Applied for Gallaudet University Admissions

If you meet all the eligibility requirements, you will be automatically considered for Gallaudet University Merit Scholarships. Please realize that this category is for merit scholarship only, which means that Gallaudet University Scholarship Committee will decide based solely on your academic achievements.

Academic achievements include ACT or SAT scores, and your GPA as well. The scholarship applicants will be ranked according to their scores, and Gallaudet University Merit Scholarships will be awarded based on the scholarship rankings.
