DOHE Scholarship

DOHE Scholarship (2021)

External Scholarships Scholarships by Country Scholarships in India

This scholarship is one of the major government schemes of India, and it is passed down from the Government of India to the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The current department that is handling this scholarship and also the author of this scholarship scheme is called the Department of Higher Education. I have recently covered nearly 10 government scholarships of India in a row, and the main pattern of each scholarship is to award the financial needy but also talented academic students in the country of India. DOHE currently offers only one scholarship scheme so without further ado, let’s get right into it.

1. DOHE Scholarship for College / University Students

Even though there is only one scholarship, I thought it might look nice to still number the scholarship since that is the tradition of this website (just kidding, of course!). I am going to follow a similar pattern of writing that I have used in previous posts, which starts with the eligibility requirements and ends with the scholarship benefits. Also, the link to the official source of DOHE Scholarship is posted near the end since you might need to read important notices along the way. To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to meet all of the eligibility requirements listed below.

  • Be Above the 80th Percentile in Class XII of 10 + 2 Pattern Or Its Equivalent
  • Be Enrolled in Recognized Colleges / Institutions*
  • Shouldn’t Be Receiving Support From External Sources
  • Shouldn’t Be Enrolled in Diploma Courses
  • Total Income of Parents / Guardian Should Be Less Than Rs. 8 Lakh Per Year

*The institutions/colleges should be recognized by All India Council of Technical Education, UGC Act, 1956, Medical Council of India, Dental Council of India, and Respective Regulatory Authorities. Since it is a waste to throw all of this reading block away, I thought it might be a good idea to provide additional explanations regarding other eligibility requirements. The first requirement is the academic requirement that is purely based on merit, and the last requirement is the financial requirement that is based on your financial need. The two not’s are pretty straight forward since you can’t be receiving funding from other sources while receiving this scholarship, and you can’t be enrolled in diploma courses since you need to apply for full-degree programs.
